Bird Hike: It's a Family Affair

Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, Neighbor

A variety of birds known as residents call San Francisco bay their home year-round.  Today our goal is to compare and contrast 2 such residents that also happen to be related, and can be found along our stretch of the Hayward shoreline: the Eared Grebe and the Clark's Grebe.
