Fire Crews Battle One-Alarm Fire At Chipotle

A one-alarm fire that broke out Thursday morning at Chipotle and 1st United Services Credit Union on Castro Valley Boulevard is under investigation.

Fire crews responded to a report of smoke coming from the building at 8:57 a.m., according to Alameda County Fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.

When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming out of the restaurant's front doors and roof. Smoke was also coming out of the bank next door.

Employees from both buildings made it out safely.

The crews put the fire out by 9:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported.

Investigators don't know the cause of the fire but Knowles said it was isolated within a wall between both businesses.
