Roland began his career with the Castro Valley Sanitary District in 1995 as District Inspector. In 1997, he was promoted to Collection System Manager, overseeing the operations of the collection and engineering departments. Roland was the project manager during the construction of CVSan’s new administrative facility during 1997. Under Roland’s leadership as General Manager since 2002, CVSan has been the recipient of numerous collection system and public education awards. Roland’s professional affiliations include California Water Environment Association, San Francisco Bay Section, Water Environment Federation, California Association of Sanitation Agencies and the American Public Works Association.
