A vast, welcoming space with tons to see, eat and do, Dave Knudsen's fountain and candy factory is perfectly pitched…More to give children of all ages a good time.</p> <p>It's like a Gilley's or Studio 54 for 6-year-olds.</p> <p>Knudsen, a Bay Area ice cream maker since 1968, retrofitted the current space in 2004 with a long fountain counter and grill, table service and a large space where you can watch all the candy being made.</p> <p>There are toy ice-cream-truck rides for the kiddies and free face painting by Sandra every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.</p> <p>Plenty of sandwiches and salads to choose from. The Monday special includes ice cream sundaes. On Wednesdays, children receive a free kids value meal with each adult entree.</p> <p>These specials are dine-in only, not to-go.</p> <p>Parties are welcome, and delivery on catered orders is available. </p>
