100% Were impressed

A vast, welcoming space with tons to see, eat and do, Dave Knudsen's fountain and candy factory is perfectly pitched to give children of all ages a good time.

It's like a Gilley's or Studio 54 for 6-year-olds.

Knudsen, a Bay Area ice cream maker since 1968, retrofitted the current space in 2004 with a long fountain counter and grill, table service and a large space where you can watch all the candy being made.

There are toy ice-cream-truck rides for the kiddies and free face painting by Sandra every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Plenty of sandwiches and salads to choose from. The Monday special includes ice cream sundaes. On Wednesdays, children receive a free kids value meal with each adult entree.

These specials are dine-in only, not to-go.

Parties are welcome, and delivery on catered orders is available.
