Bay Elementary School

<p>Bay Elementary School serves more than 500 students in grades K-5 and has grown to include preschool in the 2010-11 school year. The school received an Academic Performance Index ranking of 808 for the 2009-10 school year.</p> <p>Bay Elementary's student body is 47 percent Latino, 15 percent white, 12 percent Asian, 10 percent Filipino and 6 percent African American. About 46 percent are considered English-language learners.</p> <p>Additionally, 35 percent receive free or reduced meals.</p> <p>Bay Elementary School's mission is to "work together to support and maintain a safe and secure school environment which is conducive to learning and which provides opportunities for each student to develop personal and social responsibility, self-worth, and respect for others as well as a high level of academic achievement."</p>
