Extend the life of Social Security by eliminating the current salary cap and make it 100% contribution from everyone.

Now that the election is over, Congress needs to act to protect and guarantee our Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Now that the election is over, Congress needs to act to protect and guarantee our Social Security and Medicare benefits.

In 2013, more than 56 million Social Security recipients will see monthly payments go up by only 1.7 percent, which will be wiped out by higher Medicare premiums that are deducted directly from Social Security.

Basically, Social Security is supported by a 12.4 percent tax on wages up to $100,000. By removing the cap with a 100 percent contribution from all income levels, especially millionaires, Social Security and Medicare benefits will be guaranteed for you, your children and your grandchildren in the future.

I've set up a petition on the We the People website.  It needs 150 signatures to be searchable on the website and 25,000 in the next 30 days to get a response from the White House.

Click here for the petition and pass it around to everyone who wants to save Social Security.
