The Castro Valley Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises money for youth sports in CV, has $10,000 to distribute to youth sports and organizations this year.

The Castro Valley Sports Foundation is now accepting grant requests from Castro Valley youth sports organizations and Castro Valley school sport programs.

Deadline for submitting grant requests for this year is July 31, 2012.

The CVSF, a non-profit organization supporting youth sports in the community, has $10,000 to distribute in 2012. Most of that amount was raised by the successful Sports Hall of Fame ceremony and banquet this past April.

To request a grant from the CVSF, the applicant must fill out a “Request for Donation” application form. One can be downloaded on the CVSF website: castrovalleysportsfoundation.org

Click on “Grants & Links”, then “Grant request form” and follow the directions on the form.

Grant requests will be limited to $2,000 each.

The CVSF Board of Directors will review all requests and announce its decisions by September 30.

The specific and primary purpose of the CVSF is to educate the general public as to the benefits of community sports activities and to provide charitable assistance and support for youth sports in Castro Valley.
