Getting To The Giants' Ticker Tape Parade

San Francisco will cheer the World Series sweep by the San Francisco Giants. How will you celebrate the victory?

San Francisco will hold a ticker tape parade and civic celebration in honor of the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, and if the occasion is anything like 2010, you're going to want to get there in ways other than your car.

The Giants swept the Tigers, winning the series in Game 4 in Detroit Sunday night with a 4-3 victory. It is the team's second World Series win in three years.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. at the foot of Market Street and continue to Civic Center Plaza.

To get there use mass transit.

BART is expected to add longer trains to its route, as it did in 2010.

If you want to know what you might experience if you head to San Francisco, we've included some images from the Giants' 2010 parade.

If you plan to cheer from home or office, Patch reader Victor Li reports that Channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 11 and Comcast SportsNet Bay Area will broadcast the parade live, just as they did in 2010.
