High School Athletics in the Castro Valley Unified School are "self-funded." Their athletic programs do not receive funding for equipment, transportation, athletic trainers, facility improvements, officials, coaching stipends, and all of the administrative cost of running an athletic department. Thus, each school's athletic program is responsible for funding its own program.

Sports offer students great potential not only for improved fitness, but also to open doors to college and scholarships. This Zumbathon Fundraiser will raise needed funding for the girls soccer program.
