CV Sports Foundation Donates $12,705
The Castro Valley Sports Foundation donated funds to 10 different sports teams and organizations.
The Castro Valley Sports Foundation gave out checks totaling $12,705 to 10 different sport teams and organizations in Castro Valley.
The recipients were:
- Castro Valley Little League
- Castro Valley Crocodiles Swim Club
- Castro Valley Girls Softball
- Castro Valley Independent Sports League
- Castro Valley High School football
- CVHS baseball
- CVHS swimming and diving
- CVHS girls volleyball
- Canyon and Creekside Middle Schools tennis program
- Castro Valley Unified School District’s physical education program for special education students
The CVSF grants ranging from $405 to $2,000 were awarded based on the applicant’s requests and designated for specific purposes.

Founded in 2003, CVSF supports youth sports in the community by raising money through fundraisers. These fundraisers include the crab feed, golf tournament, and the Castro Valley Sports Hall of Fame banquet.
The 2014 banquet will be happening on Saturday, May 3 at the Willow Park Event Center.
