PHOTOS: Bravo to Castro Valley High School's 'Bye Bye Birdie'

Snapshots from Friday evening's production of "Bye Bye Birdie" at the Castro Valley Center of the Arts.

Nearly 100 of finest performing arts students sang and danced their hearts out during the musical production of "Bye Bye Birdie," directed by David Judson at the .

Friday evening's performance showcased the talents of the young performers during this entertaining satire on American society set in 1958. The story was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957.

The Tony Award Musical featured many famous songs including "Happy Face," "One Last Kiss," "Kids," and "English Teacher."
