It is the first in a series of scientific lectures sponsored by the Castro Valley Educational Foundation.
Dr. Gilbert will describe the early development of humans in Africa and how we gradually migrated around the world. He is the author of Homo Erectus. Pleistocene Evidence from the Middle Awash, Ethiopia (University of California Press, 2008) and numerous scientific papers.
