College Admissions Month at the San Lorenzo Library

High school students and families, you are most cordially invited to join us at the library for some awesome workshops on college admissions. Whether or not you have lined your room with college gear or you haven’t even given college a second thought, come check us out! We’ll probably have some valuable info for you. Regardless, all participants will be fed great snacks and be entered into our weekly raffle for college apparel. Last week, we raffled off a UC Berkeley sweatshirt; what will it be this week??

April 9: The College Admissions Process Unveiled. Where to even start with college admissions? Bring your questions to Gerna Benz of Bay Area College Planners and assemble your plan for college!

April 16: SAT Test Secrets. Need some extra tips for SAT tests? Emily from Study Smarter reveals test secrets you never knew to get that magical score. You’ll walk out confident with a personalized study plan.

April 23: The SLZ College Fair and Q&A Panel. Come get your questions answered by college representatives from several noted Californian schools. High school seniors, are you curious about college life? Want to know how to prepare yourself for the adventure ahead? Well, we have just the panel for you.

APRIL 30: Financial Aid Demystified. Think you can’t afford school? Think again. Vicki O’Day, a renowned college affordability coach, is here to walk you through the financial aid process and match which aid best fits your needs. High school students & parents of all financial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Bonus SAT Study Hall on april 30. Need a place to study? Why, of course, come to the library! We’re turning our meeting room into a full-fledged study hall stocked with refreshments, from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
