CV Public School Holiday Concerts December 4 through 18

Mark your calendars now for a cavalcade of performances this month by talented Castro Valley middle and high school students

 

From the Castro Valley Unified School District and the Castro Valley Center for the Arts -

A long line-up of holiday concerts is planned throughout December featuring students from various Castro Valley secondary public schools. All performances will be held at the Castro Valley Center for the Arts at 19501 Redwood Road (on the campus of Castro Valley High School).   

December 4 at 7 p.m. Creekside Middle School Bands and Orchestras present their holiday concert, "Bells and Bows".  Tickets range from $4 to 6 and can be purchased here.


December 5 at 7 p.m. Castro Valley High School Choirs perform a "Winter Fantasy Concert". Tickets cost between $6 and $8 in advance and up to $10 at the door. You can purchase tickets here.

December 6 at 7 p.m. Creekside Middle School Choirs will offer "Some Holiday Cheer From Around the World". The concert will feature the school's chorus, concert choir and honor choir students performing familiar and popular holiday song selections from Israel, Ireland and Africa.  Ticket prices in advance are $4 to $6 but increase at the door. December 11 at 6:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Canyon Middle School Choirs present a "Winter Celebration" concert. The school's choirs will sing a variety of winter and holiday music at two shows. The shows run from 6:30 to 7:30 and from 8 to 9 p.m.  You will need tickets for each show if you wish to see both of them. Tickets cost $4 to $6 each in advance, but will increase at the door. December 12 at 7 p.m. Castro Valley High School Bands perform "Dashing Through the Year". The annual winter concert is under the direction of Steven Hendee. Tickets cost $6 to $8 in advance, but up to $10 at the door. Click here to purchase tickets in advance.

December 13 at 7 p.m. Canyon Middle School and Castro Valley High School Orchestras present music from holiday films and animated movies in their concert "Holidays at the Movies". This Winter "Pops" concert features Canyon's 6th through 8th grade orchestras and Castro Valley High School's String and Chamber Orchestras. Tickets are on sale for $6 to $8 in advance or up to $10 at the door. Buy your tickets on-line here.

December 18 at 7 p.m. Canyon and Castro Valley Middle Schools Instrumental Concert "Winter Celebration" will be held featuring the Canyon School's bands and the Castro Valley Middle School Jazz Band. Another problem: When notified of a reply to a comment I could click the link in the email to go toRead More the article. That was not possible this time. So because a small minority zooms there computer the layout should be as it is? I don't think so. All that white space means that an article that could be read with just one or two clicks to scroll through is now going to take more scrolling to view. One thing that seems to be missing in today's world are web designers who (1) change the layout just because and (2) web designers who have neglected to consider the audience. The more I look at this layout the less I like it. The font needs to be darker than it is. the blue (like in "announcements") needs to be bolder. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 best), I rank the new "improved" design a 3.
