'Step Up Revolution' Movie Review

What I thought of Step Up Revolution.

As the somewhat busy weeks of summer go by, I managed to find some time to buy a ticket to see "Step Up Revolution" in theater.

I saw a matinee showing of the movie on Tuesday after it came out, and I was not surprised to find out that only ten people including myself were in the theater.

Normally I'd go see a movie with my friends, but I just felt in the mood to watch and enjoy the dancing by myself. It was quite relaxing sitting there with my own small bag of delicious movie-theater popcorn and a small lemonade while I patiently waited for the movie to start.

I don't really know anyone else besides myself and perhaps one of my friends who will see previews to movies and say, "I want to see that," to every preview. The editors really do an amazing job making the previews so intriguing. Even the preview to "Chernobyl Diaries" looked really good, but those kind of movies terrify me. I definitely didn't see it for fear of nightmares for a month or so.

"Step Up Revolution" was such an amazing movie. Although I didn't care for the story line since it's practically the same every movie, I do have to admit that the dancing was incredible. The stunts and special effects made it all the better and had me literally on the edge of my seat with my jaw dropped.

I'd share the plot of the story, but there's really no other way to say "boy meets girl and they fall in love." Don't get me wrong, there's more than just that, but it is a chick flick, so if you don't like chick flicks, this movie is not for you. If I had to rate this movie out of 10 stars, I'd give it eight. My reasoning is that the story line wasn't very good, but the dancing made up for it.
