You are invited to a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) workshop event that I will be hosting on Saturday, July 13. During this event, DREAMers, undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, can learn about and apply for deferred action with assistance from immigration attorneys and experts.
As a Member of Congress, I am committed to working toward a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. While not a substitute for more comprehensive immigration reform, President Obama’s deferred action program broadens the opportunities available to undocumented youth.
Since its implementation one year ago, 300,000 applicants have been approved for deferred action. This weekend, I look forward to coming together to assist the DREAMers of the East Bay.
