What's The Most Expensive Home for Sale in Castro Valley?

Check out this 5,800-square-foot home on 100 acres on Cull Canyon Road and see what it's selling for.

If you're waiting for your home to regain some of its lost value, you might not have to wait long.

Home prices are on the rise and, according to at least one report, are expected to increase 3.3 percent a year through 2017.

Part of the reason is the lack of inventory, causing multiple bids on houses. Another reason is low interest rates. Another is an improvement in consumer credit, which encourages banks to loan more money.

For fun, we thought we'd look for the most expensive home on the market in Castro Valley that we could find.

We came up with is this four-bedroom, six-bathroom house at 15282 Cull Canyon Road that's listed at $3.3 million.

The home, built in 2010, is 5,835 square feet. It also sits on 100 acres and includes a barn and four-car garage.
