New Year, New Homes On The Market In Southern, Central Alameda County

Check out these homes that have been on the market for a week or less

January isn't necessarily a bad time to try to sell a home -- or buy one for that matter.

Some real estate analysts say potential home buyers start looking at the market after New Year's Day to see what's out there.

In some parts of the country, February can actually be one of the busiest home shopping months of the year.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look some of the homes that have been listed recently in the region.

In San Leandro, there's this five-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 1408 Orchard Ave. that's been on the market for less than a week.

The 1,160-square-foot house built in 1902 is listed at $290,900.

In Newark, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 35558 Biscay Place has been for sale for about a week.

The 1,100-square-foot home built in 1960 is listed at $630,000.

In Castro Valley, this three-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 4720 Audrey Drive has been on the market for about a week.

The 1,091-square-foot residence built in 1953 is listed at just under $449,000.
