Cost Per Square Foot: Homes In Castro Valley That Have A Higher Price Tag

You get what you pay for, the old saying goes.

That's true for homes as much as anything.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses that cost more per square foot that most homes in their area.

There are a lot of reasons for the higher price tag. Location is probably the main reason. There can also be amenities as well as the size of the yard.

In Castro Valley, this five-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 7324 Crow Canyon Road is listed at $5.8 million.

It's 3,500 square feet, which means its cost more than $1,500 per square foot.

The residence sits on 123 acres and is listed as an estate house with four other homes and two horse boarding facilities on the property.
