Trust and Estate Planning Workshop in C.V. September 27

As part of its community interest programming, the Castro Valley Adult and Career Education Center will hold a two hour workshop on planning a trust and estate on September 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The course presenter will be James J. Phillips, a certified specialist in estate planning, probate, and trust law with over 30 years of experience. Phillips is a Castro Valley native who graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1972.

Topics to be covered in the class include advance health care directives and matters relating to health care decision making; management of financial affairs during incapacity (including durable general powers of attorney, conservatorships, and living trusts); inheritance options for your beneficiaries, (both trust and non-trust options); living trusts and estate tax planning.

Registration must be completed in advance and costs $20 per person.
