Senior Scam Stopper Seminars Coming to San Lorenzo, Ashland

There are two Senior Scam Stopper seminars coming to San Lorenzo and Ashland in the upcoming weeks.

Assemblymember Bill Quirk (D-Hayward) will host two Senior Scam Stopper events in the 20th Assembly District this fall with Congressman Eric Swalwell.  The events, held in cooperation with the Contractor’s State License Board, will help consumers learn how to spot common scams and avoid falling prey to them.

The seminars will feature a panel of experts from across the state, who will discuss topics including: how to protect oneself from identity theft, how to avoid investment related scams, and what to look for and ask about before engaging in home and auto repair contracts.

“The goal is to empower consumers before the damage is done, by educating them about what to look for and what questions they need to ask,” said Assemblymember Quirk.
