Resolve To Get Politically Involved in 2013

The League of Women Voters for the Eden Area will be picking its focal issues. Men invited. Take part.

It's a New Year. If getting more active in the community is among your resolutions, here's a place to start.

The League of Women Voters for the Eden Area will hold its annual program and planning meeting on Saturday, January 19, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the main Castro Valley Library at 3600 Norbridge Avenue.

Men are welcome.

Members were sent surveys to indicate their top issue priority in three areas—government, natural resources, and social policies. League members will discuss these priorities and decide which to send to the State League Board for emphasis on education and/or advocacy.

Summaries of each position and other League information can be found on the attached PDF.

This Program Planning meeting is considered one of the most important league meetings you can attend, so please put it on your calendar.

Light refreshments. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend so we know how much food and handouts to prepare. RSVP or Questions to Jo Loss at JASLoss@aol.com or call (510) 881-1285 (evenings).
