A pharmacy technician has been charged with stealing hundreds of hydrocodone and Percocet pills from the Exeter Walgreens last year, authorities say.
Brittany E. Bertone, of Danville, recently had her pharmacy license suspended after an investigation, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.
Authorities said Bertone stole at least 300 hydrocodone pills between June and December of 2012. Exeter police charged Bertone with felony-level drug possession and misdemeanor-level theft. They said she also stole Percocet pills. Hydrocodone and Percocets are painkillers.
Police said Bertone stole the pills but didn't replace them with others.
Bertone was released from custody after posting $2,500 bail. She was ordered to stay out of Walgreens.
The New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy will have a hearing Jan. 16 to determine if Bertone's license should remain suspended.
