Parent Fair in San Lorenzo September 12 To Learn About Free Tutoring

Students from five San Lorenzo elementary schools and two middle schools may be eligible for tutoring at no charge if they receive free or reduced price school meals

 

From the San Lorenzo Unified School District Educational Services Department -

A special drop-in fair for parents, guardians and students to learn about free tutoring services will be held September 12 between 12 and 7 p.m. at the .

Supplemental Educational Services (SES), a part of the U.S. Department of Education,  provides extra help to San Lorenzo Unified School District students in kindergarten through eighth grade who are eligible for free or reduced meals and who attend one of a number of San Lorenzo schools that have been designated as "in need of improvement". Those schools are , , , and elementary schools and and middle schools.

A list of tutors, along with the application to receive tutoring services, is available at the individual school sites' offices or in the district's office.
