Learn To Play Chess in San Lorenzo December 5

Local 4-H group is offering lesson for beginners

 

The San Lorenzo Library is spreading the word that would-be chess players have an opportunity to learn the basics of the game on December 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the library located at 395 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo.

Members of the East Hills 4-H club will be on hand to demonstrate and teach the game. The East Hills 4-H club is a home-schooling friendly club which meets in San Leandro and Oakland but attracts members from throughout the East Bay. You can read more about it here.

There is no charge to attend the chess playing session and everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level.
