Job Fair For Challenged Work Hunters

Collection of non-profit organizations will team up to help disadvantaged job seekers

 

A free job resource fair will be held September 18 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hayward City Hall Plaza, 777 B Street, Hayward.

The event is being sponsored by the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women, Community Resources for Independent Living, the Regional Occupational Program (ROP), Eden Youth Center, Social Vocational Services, Community Partners, the Seventh Step Foundation Inc. and other non-profit organizations.

It is specifically geared for individuals with disabilities, English language learners, single mothers, veteran's, at-risk youth and ex-convicts entering or returning to employment.

Services provided to participants that day will include help updating their resumes, information on how to complete on-line job applications, financial literacy coaching and information about resources that are available to those searching for work.
