Get Your Game On November 3 in Castro Valley

International Game Day commemorated by our local library joining over 1,000 similar events around the world

 

From the Castro Valley Library -

The Castro Valley Library will hold a special event open to the public November 3 from 12 to 2 p.m. to commemorate "International Games Day @ Your Library".

The five-year-old initiative of the American Library Association, hopes to reconnect  communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational, and social value of all types of games and highlight that in the 21st century libraries are about much more than books.

On November 3 more than one thousand libraries around the world will showcase gaming programs and services in support of the initiative.  In 2011, more than 27,700 people played games at more than 1,400 libraries across the U.S. and in other countries.

Join us at the Castro Valley library for two hours of games and fun. The event is open for all ages.  Drop in and experience the fun of playing all of your favorite board, Nintendo Wii, and XBOX Kinect games.
