The Castro Valley Library hosts an on-going Genealogy Study Group which welcomes new members and is happy to help even beginning researchers trace their family roots.
They meet the first and third Monday of each month at the library from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The library is located at 3600 Norbridge Avenue.
Each meeting will feature a presentation by an experienced docent or guest speaker, lots of time for research and a question and answer session.
You can use the library's laptop computers or bring your own.
Registration is required to participate in this group. You can register in advance at the library information desk or by calling 510-667-7900.
Here are some noteworthy and just plain comical quotes about family trees to help get you in the mood to launch your research.
