Emergency Medical Airlift Practice

A recent medivac from Bancroft Middle School precedes a demonstration today at Castro Valley High.


A Calstar Medivac helicopter in San Leandro in response to a real medical emergency last weekend.

Today Calstar is practicing touchdowns and liftoffs at Castro Valley High, according to Aisha Knowles of the Alameda County Fire Department, who shared the picture above.

School playing fields offer open, public spaces for emergency airlifts. San Leandro school board member Mike Katz said a helicopter recently did a medivac at John Muir Middle School.

I honestly think a better story would have been the real reason as to why there was a helicopter on the field. This was not for practice, but for performance. This was a part of the Every Fifteen Minutes Act that happens every-other year to attempt a viewing of what happens wen students drink and drive.
