The Castro Valley Library's Fall Book Sale is set for November 30 through December 2 and an appeal has gone out on the library's website for volunteers to help staff it. Book donations are still being accepted for the sale, as well.
If you can help at the sale or want to donate books, call 510-733-3285.
The sale will be held at the library located at 3600 Norbridge Avenue.
Books make great holiday gifts and by buying gently used ones you can save money, be environmentally friendly and support your local library.
A preview night will be held for members of the Friends of the Castro Valley Library November 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. You can renew or obtain membership in the organization which supports the library at the door.
General admission to the sale is free and begins December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and continues December 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. On December 2 books will be sold by the bag (bag provided by the library). Each bag of books costs $3.
The sale is being sponsored by the Friends of the Castro Valley Library, an all-volunteer group that helps support the library. It also staffs an in-library bookstore, conducsts off-site book sales and sells books on-line to benefit the library.
