Community Invited to Friends of the Library Meeting Tuesday

May 22 general meeting will focus on group's future plans to provide help for the library and the public is encouraged to attend

 

The non-profit Friends of the Castro Valley Library organization is inviting members of the public to join it Tuesday night, May 22, for its general meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

The meeting takes place at the at 3600 Norbridge Avenue, Castro Valley.

A recap of recent accomplishments will be given as well as a discussion of plans for future efforts to support the library. (You can read a message from the Friends president, Ned Lyke, here about the organization and its goals.)

Friends of the Castro Valley Library operates a bookstore within the library open year-round and hosts periodic larger book sales. (Its next book sale is scheduled for August 17 through 19.) You can see scenes from one of its 2011 book sales here.
