A free workshop offering an overview of the Medicare program and its options will be held September 19 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in San Lorenzo.
The event takes place at Kent Gardens located at 16450 Kent Avenue. (Kent Gardens Senior Community is a low income housing apartment subsidized by the federal governments HUD (Housing and Urban Development Division).
Representatives from Legal Assistance for Seniors will offer information about health care options for senior citizens.
Legal Assistance for Seniors provides free legal advice and representation, health insurance counseling and community education to qualified Alameda County residents.
