Castro Valley School Board Holds Budget Workshop on Wednesday

The special board meeting is open to the public and begins at 8:30 a.m. at the district office.

In a special meeting on Wednesday morning, the (CVUSD) board will hold a board budget workshop for the public.

Mike Bush, assistant superintendent of business services, will begin the workshop by reviewing Gov. Jerry Brown's proposed budget and its impact on CVUSD for 2012-2013 planning purposes.

During the Jan. 26 board meeting, board members and district officials . Based on the passage or failure of the tax initiative during November's election, the school district is looking at $400,000 to $3.5 million in a total loss of funding.
