Castro Valley Library Hosts Two Free Workshops This Weekend

Learn about how to get a book published or practice Transcendental Meditation

 

The will host classes on Saturday and Sunday this weekend which are free and open to the public. Come take advantage of these educational opportunities close to home.

On Saturday, May 19, "The Path to Print: How to get your book published" will be held at 1 p.m. in the library's Chabot Room. 

Local successful authors will be on hand to reveal how to get your book into print and to market. After the talk there will be a book signing and light refreshments will be provided.

Authors participating are Reina Williams, Jessica McBrayer, Virginia Degner and Lorena Bathey.

"Transcendental Meditation", an introductory talk, will be offered by Bill Firestone on Sunday, May 20 in the library's Learning Center.

Firestone is a certified teacher at the Berkeley Center for the Transcendental Meditation Program.

For more information about either event, call the library at 510-667-7900.  The Castro Valley Library is located at 3600 Norbridge Avenue.
