Artists Invited to Submit Creations For Adobe Art Show

The Adobe Art Gallery in Castro Valley is once again putting out a call to artists to enter their works

 

The 35th Annual Area Artists' Juried Exhibit takes place this Fall at the Adobe Gallery in Castro Valley and Bay Area artists are invited to submit their artwork for consideration.

Artists will submit their entries in person on Thursday, September 27 between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. or on Saturday, September 29 from 3 to 5 p.m.

There will be a reception and awards presentation for the artists of winning entries on October 20 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event will be judged by Janet Jones who is an internationally known artist who graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts. She has worked in a variety of art mediums including printmaking, digital technology, mixed media, collage and book arts. According to event sponsors, she has taken part in group exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Japan, New Zealand and South America and her work is in many private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.

Organizers say, "This juried group exhibit is for artists 18 or over who reside, teach art, take art classes, or belong to art associations in the Bay Area."

There is a $25 entry fee for up to two entries at the time of submission.
