Two pedestrians were struck by a car near the entrance to Lake Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley on Friday evening, emergency responders
said.
The collision was reported at about 7:20 p.m. at 17500 Lake Chabot Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two injured victims were taken to a trauma center, according to Alameda County fire officials. They both suffered major injuries but were awake and alert when they went to the hospital, the CHP said.
