The big-rig, Nissan and Mazda hit the center divide, forcing the Mazda through a chain link fence onto BART's right-of-way between the
agency's West Dublin/Pleasanton and Castro Valley stations, Creel said.

Three drivers were sent to Eden Medical Center with minor injuries, Creel said.

BART trains are single-tracking through the area, so passengers on the Dublin/Pleasanton line can expect delays of about 10 minutes until the vehicle is removed, BART spokeswoman Luna Salaver said.

The crash was blocking the two left eastbound lanes of Highway 580 as of 5:10 p.m.

Johnston advised drivers to take alternate routes.
