Suspect Arrested, Another at Large After Burglarizing Neighborhood Church

The two led police on a car chase, going the wrong direction on Highway 238 Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested one suspect and are searching for another after both burglarized a Castro Valley church Tuesday afternoon, according to The Daily Review.

The two men led police on a car chase after burglarizing (also known as the Three Crosses) at 20600 John Drive around 3 p.m., The Daily Review reports. During the police pursuit, the suspects ended up traveling the wrong direction on Highway 238.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office told The Daily Review that after the suspects exited the freeway, they took off on foot nearby Gilbert Street and Mission Boulevard.

Although the driver — who has yet to be identified — was captured, police are still searching for the passenger.

Castro Valley Patch was unable to get ahold of Sgt. J.D. Nelson of Alameda County Sheriff's Office for further comment.
