Update: Shoplifters Arrested with Baby Formula Likely Stolen From Lucky Supermarket

Witnesses saw sheriff's deputies talking to four young women Tuesday afternoon in front of Chevron after a large amount of baby formula was taken from the Lucky supermarket.

Officers on Tuesday afternoon arrested four shoplifting suspects at the  on Castro Valley Boulevard after baby formula was taken from the , according to several witnesses.

A 24-year-old Oakland woman, a 19-year-old Sacramento woman, and a 22-year-old Oakland woman were arrested on suspicion of three counts of child endangerment, burglary, grand theft, conspiracy and resisting arrest.

A 20-year-old Oakland woman was also arrested on suspicion of burglary, being in possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, grand theft, child endangerment, and possession of a destructive device.

Desmond Chin, manager at , said the incident occurred around noon and lasted about two hours as Alameda County Sheriff's deputies searched through the alleged suspects' van.

He said he saw a trunk full of baby formula while police were going through the vehicle. 

Chin said police brought four Lucky employees into his restaurant, drew the blinds to the windows and had them identify the four suspected shoplifters.

How SAD ??? I guess the idea that they were going to SELL it didn't come before your automatic liberal kneejerk response. I will agree though that they could use some "resources"...and those "resources" are their reflections in their mirror. What may occur to you that it's also "SAD" that theft and prevention costs are paid for by shoppers in these stores whose profit margins are slim. Also in some "communities", 60=% of children are born to single mothers and 70 % of prisoners are born to single mothers. Kids of all colors doing the right thing working minimum wage at KFC, Blockbuster, etc, and people like me who never took an unearned dime have this on our backs in the taxes paid for others criminality and ignorance !!!
