Robbery Suspect At Large in Bay Area, Police Say

Police are asking for help finding a man thought to be involved in at least 20 robberies in 10 cities across the Bay Area.

Police across the Bay Area are searching for a man thought to be responsible for at least 20 armed robberies in 10 cities including San Leandro, Fremont, San Francisco, San Bruno, Redwood City, Pacifica, Menlo Park, Daly City and Colma.

He is described as an African-American in his mid-30s, 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9, and 200 pounds, Sgt. Jason Dwyer of the San Jose Police Department said in a press release.

In a June 12 robbery on the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue in San Jose, the suspect entered a store brandishing a handgun and demanding money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Dwyer said.

He is considered armed and dangerous, the press release says.
