Police Send Boat Out to Oakland Estuary in Search of Gun Used in Oikos Shooting

If potential evidence is spotted, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office will be called in to retrieve it according to San Francisco police.

Bay City News — San Francisco police have sent a boat with an underwater camera to help Oakland police search for a gun used in .

Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan said the suspect in the shooting, One L. Goh, 43, a Korean national who lives in Oakland, is cooperating with police but has at 7850 Edgewater Drive on Monday morning.

Oakland police are now searching a section of the Oakland Estuary near the university because they believe the gun that Goh allegedly used may be in the water there.

San Francisco police spokesman Sgt. Michael Andraychak said his department sent the boat to the search area at the request of Oakland police. Andraychak said that if the camera spots any potential evidence, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office will be called in to retrieve it.

Alameda County sheriff's Sgt. J.D. Nelson said midday that his department has a dive team that could help in the search for the gun, but that the team's assistance hasn't been requested.
