A 10-year-old boy reported missing in San Leandro last night has been found safe, according to Police Chief Sandra Spagnoli.
 
Woodonson Chery, was reported missing after he did not come home from school on Friday at 4:15 p.m. as he normally does, according to police.
 
Chery, who is Haitian and speaks French as his primary language, lives less than four blocks from the school, police said.

San Leandro police are searching for a missing 10-year-old boy who failed to return home from school today.
 
Woodonson Chery, a student at McKinley Elementary School, did not come home from school today at 4:15 p.m. as he normally does, according to Lt. Robert McManus. Chery, who is Haitian and speaks French as his primary language, lives less than four blocks from the school, police said.
 
He is described as approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and around 75 to 80 pounds, and was last seen at school wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, police said. Residents living within a mile of the school will receive telephone alerts, in the hope that someone has seen Chery, police said.
