Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck By Alleged Drunken Driver

A woman has been arrested in connection with the collision that injured a man

One person was arrested in connection with a collision in Castro Valley Thursday night that left a male pedestrian with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred around 7:19 p.m. at 19979 Stanton Ave. near Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, according to the CHP.

A female driver was arrested, and the pedestrian was taken to Eden for treatment of major injuries, a CHP official said.

The California Highway Patrol is responding to a reported DUI collision involving a pedestrian with major injuries near Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.

The collision was reported at 19979 Stanton Ave. at 7:18 p.m., according to the CHP.
