Park District Promotes Two Police Lieutenants From Castro Valley

Lance Brede and Gretchen Rose, both Castro Valley residents, were recently promoted to Police Lieutenants for the East Bay Regional Park District.

Lance Brede, a resident of Castro Valley, recently was promoted to Police Lieutenant for the East Bay Regional Park District, where he directs the police department's administrative services. He attended Hayward High School and Ohlone College in Fremont and Cal State Hayward. Brede joined EBRPD in 1993 as a Public Safety Student Aide. 

Gretchen Rose, a resident of Castro Valley, recently was promoted to Police Lieutenant for the East Bay Regional Park District, where she is a watch commander in the police field operations division. Rose joined EBRPD in 1996 as a Police Officer. She attended Los Gatos High School and earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from San Jose State.

The East Bay Regional Park District Police Department has 64 sworn police officers and includes an Air Support Unit, Special Response Unit, Marine Patrol, Equestrian Patrols, K-9 Unit, Special Enforcement Unit, Investigations Unit, and a 24-hour 9-1-1 Communications Center.
