Naked Man Disrupts Traffic on Stanley Boulevard

Police take in man who undressed himself along Stanley Boulevard median.

A man was detained by police for a mental health evaluation after he undressed himself on Stanley Boulevard, near Murdell Lane, Officer Steve Goard said.

At around 2:55 p.m. Friday police received multiple calls of a naked man walking up and down a median on Stanley Boulevard, Goard said.

"When we arrived on scene he had just taken off all his clothes and was completely naked," Goard said. "There was no danger to the community and he was taken for a mental health evaluation."

A Livermore Patch reader describes the scene in an e-mail:

There was a man in only jeans, no shirt no shoes waving his arms and speaking jibberish. We were stuck at the light and he was coming towards our car. Now Stanley is blocked off and there are ambulances and cop cars.

And what I cant understand is why nobody picked me up when i DID have pants on. I was extremely thirsty as well. Nobody stopped till i got so desperate that i took my pants off. I know that i must have seen a few cars with drivers that looked familiar to me.

I knew it would only be a matter of minutes before cops came. I needed water and a phone. PS thanks for the faith in humanity>?

I still think Livermore has some good ole boys and girls.I moved here in 1994 and love this town.I raised three fine young men here and most the people are good folks. From the look of this and other comments around Livermore it seems like we have some immigrants from Pleasanton with a proctological bmw implant .Go back to snob town and let us live together and carry on like good cowboyz and galz. When you see someone in trouble help them out or at least try to talk to them unless you are terrified of the world in which case just stay indoors with the curtains drawn and your meals brought to you.Stay COWBOY Livermore!!.
