I think that's incredibly offensive, insensitive & inappropriate to make a joke like that in response to the very real & potentially tragic situation of a young man with severe mental illness having gone missing. Why would you think that was an okay response?

Totally agree with you Annamarie. I have a very good sense of humor but know when to use it. Not only harm to himself but this young man could harm others. Just not a joking matter.

has anyone ever been to John George Psychiatric pavillion? Basically it's nothing but a crappy prison where there is no beds to sleep in but couches to lay upon. He may be schizophrenic and despetley needs to be on meds but to put him there is a death sentence already. I know.
