Man Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Pig at Alameda County Fair

Reports say James Anthony Horn, 22, was arrested after witnesses said he struck pig on the head and buttocks and pulled the six-month-old pig's ears and tail.

A 22-year-old Livermore man was arrested Tuesday at the Alameda County Fair for allegedly slapping a show pig and pulling its ears and tail, according to a San Jose Mercury News report.

James Anthony Horn, 22, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. in the barn area by an Alameda County Sheriff's deputy after witnesses said Horn hit it with his hand on the head and buttocks and pulled the six-month-old pig's ears and tail, according to court records.

Horn appeared in Pleasanton court Friday and was released by a judge, but was ordered to stay away from the fair, to not drink alcohol and to attend Alcoholic Anonymous meetings twice a week, according to the report.
