Update: Man, 33, Shot Dead In San Lorenzo Wednesday Morning

Bay City News and Patch Staff — Alameda County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man in San Lorenzo Wednesday morning.

The shooting, in the 1800 block of Robscott Avenue near Ginger Avenue, was reported at 12:07 a.m., deputies said.

Marilyn Bigalow, who lives nearby, told Patch she heard two gunshots and a car speeding off. Her dogs started barking and she went outside and saw other
neighbors running toward the shooting scene.

"This is the second shooting in two months here. Two shootings is too
much. Kids don't even go outside to play anymore. It's not safe," Bigalow said.

The victim has not yet been identified, a sheriff's spokesman said. The killing remains under investigation.

Deputies found the victim lying in the street. He was pronounced
dead at the scene.

Sgt. J.D. Nelson said the victim is an Alameda County resident but that
investigators do not believe he lived in the neighborhood where he was shot.

The Alameda County coroner's bureau is working to confirm the
victim's identity.

Nelson said investigators have no suspects in the case yet.

"We've got a whodunit," he said.

Patch will update this story when further details are available.
