A bomb scare and death threats prompted brief evacutations at high schools in the San Lorenzo Unified School District on Thursday and Friday until Alameda County sheriff's determined that the threats were unfounded.
A district administrator said three threats had come in to various San Lorenzo high schools since Thursday morning, including two Friday morning.
On Thursday morning, a bomb threat that came in at about 10 am prompted an evacuation at San Lorenzo High.
About 1,300 students waited off campus for an hour until deputies searched the school and determined that it was safe for students to re-enter and resume classes, according to Sharon Lampel, assistant superintendent of human resources at San Lorenzo Unified School District.
Friday around 10 a.m., two separate calls came in to San Lorenzo High School, located at 50 E. Lewelling Blvd. in San Lorenzo, and at the campus at 20450 Royal Ave. in unincorporated Hayward that houses both East Bay Arts and Royal Sunset high schools.
Friday morning's threats at the two smaller campuses -- East Bay Arts and Royal Sunset -- came from a garbled, almost machine-like voice that was mostly unintelligible except for the last word, which was "dead," Lampel said.
Working with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, East Bay Arts and Royal Sunset were both evacuated, Lampel said.
But students at San Lorenzo High remained at their desks on Friday.
Around 11 a.m., authorities determined there was no threat at any of the schools, Lampel said. Students at the two smaller schools returned to their classes.
"We want to react. We want to keep them safe," Lampel said. "But we don't want to overreact."

No injuries were reported in any of the three incidents.
